Dancer Fukiko Takase interprets “Spiritus Naturae Aeternus,” in an evocative dance and choreography, a performance relationship between nature and urban settings, in a music video for the American composer and pianist Dustin O’Halloran.

O’Halloran explains the concept of performance for “Spiritus Naturae Aeternus, [it] serves as a requiem for nature, encapsulating our deep connection to it and the increasing disconnection from it”.
“The contrast between Iceland's natural beauty and the desolate urban settings provides a transformative journey from organic to artificial environments. Within a bleak world, Takase's dance becomes an expression of the enduring process of growth, renewal, and eventual decay,” explains the filmmaker, Markus Englmair.
