Tako Tsubo is the second album by the french band L'Impératrice, released in March 2021. Their new song, Hématome has been released alongside a psychedelic animated music video that brings back the anguish of a broken heart and the search for acceptance.
The production of the animation studio Remembers is composed of images inspired by old comics and uses surreal colors and elements to illustrate the hectic daily life of a desperate gorilla in search of a new face.

In the video Hématome, the main character suffers from the pressures of society and its beauty standards and desperately tries to regain her self-esteem. The settings are a mixture of melancholy and beauty, where the images of "ideal women" are always in contrast to the setting of the visual narrative.
The lyrics of L'Impératrice's song are about the falsehood of romance in a world dominated by social media. Behind-the-screen relationships can obsess over aesthetics, teach only the good, and hide the flaws to the fullest.
