The winner was the slogan "Frozen in Time" (Frozen in Time), the team leaded by Colombian Juan Andres Diaz Parra. The project is inspired by the poem "Winter Morning" by Alexander Pushkin, which relates to the ability of the Russian winter to transfigure the landscape.
The second prize was for "Moving Light Palace (Palace of light in motion), the German team consisting of Adrian Reinbroth, Franziska Boettcher and Jenny Grossman, and the third has been awarded " The Pushkinsky Jewel "(Jewel of Pushkinsky ), Joseph Sung (South Korea).
The three winning proposals combine imaginative aesthetical thinking with technical innovation to create solutions that give new life to an aging icon like the Pushkinsky Cinema. The winning proposals were selected from 512 entries submitted by 1002 architects from 62 different countries. The exhibition of the winning designs will take place in the Central House of Architects in Moscow from June 8 to 19, 2011.
