A cloudy, rainy, and crowded city is a reflection of the singer's state of mind. A train station can be seen at the beginning of the video, as well as Manhattan locations with rain-soaked ground and characteristic New York elements such as signs, taxis, and more. All of these scenes are represented by square fragments placed on top of others that occupy the rest of the screen.
The video's predominant colors are in keeping with a cold, dark range. These include blue, purple, and black. At the bottom of the video, the yellow subtitles of the lyrics create a contrast with the photograph behind it.
