Far from following a classic narrative, the music video is presented as a succession of fragmented memories. We see Kevin Parker in everyday, personal moments, with family or walking alone, in contrast to his indoor music production process. The video thus becomes a personal story of his emotional transition, where the artist himself seems to reflect on his place in time: between what is experienced and what is created, between what is felt and what is transformed into sound.
One of the most powerful elements of the video clip is the use of the split-screen format, which divides the screen into two parallel sequences. This duality not only provides visual richness but also functions as a metaphor for the doubling of experience and memory. We see two moments occurring simultaneously, but not always synchronized, as if each half of the screen represented a different layer of consciousness. It is a way of expressing how the end of summer is never an exact point, but rather a memory that coexists between the real and the remembered. The technique reinforces the idea that time does not flow in a straight line, but in parallel, like our emotions and memories.
TAME IMPALA. Our Saturday music video. (Official Music Video). METALOCUS MUSIC PROJECT.

“End Of Summer” by Tame Impala.
Aesthetically, the video presents a clear cinematographic will. Julian Klincewicz's direction and Imogene Strauss's creative direction are based on an image with soft textures, the use of grain and slightly saturated earth colors. The warm light of the sunset is the protagonist in most of the exterior shots, while the interior of the studio is intimate and silent. This combination of the natural and the introspective reinforces the reflective nature of the video, which moves away from the spectacular to rely on the emotionality of the song.

Everybody knows how I feel about you
So you can act surprised if you need to
And I am still your friend if you think it's worth it
It just means that I'll see you when I see you
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
I could not deny it was overwhelming
Living out our lives for just one thing
And right now I would love to put my arms around you
Even if I know it would mean nothing (Nothing)
I know I can seem uncaring in moments like these
I just hope it's enough to say my words don't come with ease
And I'm sure that you won't believe but you'll be on my mind
I waited till the end of summer and I ran out of time
Do it on my own
Goin' through it on my own
It's a feelin' in my bones
Can we do it tomorrow? (Can we—)
Do it on my own
Goin' through it on my own
It's a feelin' in my bones
Can we do it tomorrow? (Can—)
I know I can seem uncaring in moments like these
Just 'cause I don't regret it, doesn't mean I won't think about it
Love doesn't cast a shadow
Fun doesn't make you shallow
I just wanna make it brighter
I just wanna lay beside ya
Do it on my own
Gotta dream it on my own
It's a feelin' in my bones
Can we do it tomorrow? (Can we—)
Do it on my own
Gotta dream it on my own
It's a feelin' in my bones
Can we do it tomorrow? (Can—)
Do it on my own (Everybody knows)
Goin' through it on my own
It's a feelin' in my bones (How I feel about you)
Can we do it tomorrow? (Can we—)
Do it on my own (So you can act surprised)
Goin' through it on my own
It's a feelin' in my bones (If you need to)
Can we do it tomorrow? (Can—; oh-oh)
