Patios, balconies, light and vegetation. Praga Residential Building by Arquitectura-G

Barcelona architecture studio, Arquitectura-G, led by Jonathan Arnabat, Jordi Ayala-Bril, Aitor Fuentes and Igor Urdampilleta has completed a housing building with four apartments and two duplex units.

The new building between party walls located in a neighborhood with several nearby parks, including Park Güell and with steep streets that characterize the Gràcia neighborhood.

The three-storey building, designed by Arquitectura-G, has an access that seems to want to absorb part of the public space from the street towards an interesting interior patio lined with trees and full of balconies. Aptly, the project places the duplexes on the first floors and the smaller apartments on the second and third floors.

The open patio in a double height towards the street allows a hybrid space, exterior-interior that frees and fills the interior houses with light and direct ventilation.

A six-unit housing building with four apartments and two duplex units.

The street folds towards the interior of the plot forming a patio. This gesture generates a building that does not have a rear face, but rather an outdoor space of urban character that provides light and ventilation to all the units.

Arquitectura-G is a studio of architecture founded in 2006, based in Barcelona, by Jonathan Arnabat (1977), Jordi Ayala-Bril (1975), Aitor Fuentes (1981) and Igor Urdampilleta (1981), mainly dedicated to construction and teaching. They understand their work as a team, where individualities are dissolved in an addition of ways of doing. The material aspect is fundamental for them, as they view it as a field of research. Currently, the office includes small projects and is starting a new stage to approach larger projects.

In 2008 created ESCRITOS-G was created as a learning tool and to improve the business, with the desire to create a critical discourse and trigger discussion about contemporary architecture. It is a series of conversations about architecture held between members of ARCHITECTURE-G, the philosopher Ekhi Lopetegi and several young architects whose work has sparked interest in the profession, society and the media.

In 2011 launched INDOORS a section focused on reformulation and internal reorganization of urban housing adapted to living contemporary culture.
