PHotoEspaña and the Community of Madrid, in collaboration with the Alcalá de Henares City Council through the Municipal Company Promoción de Alcalá, S.A., offer year-round training in photography and visual arts through the PHE Community of Madrid Campus. This program provides a space for exchange and knowledge through workshops and masterclasses with professionals in the fields of photography editing, theory, and practice.

This January, Campus PHE is organizing a two-day photography workshop: A Weekend with Anders Petersen, where participants can exchange their work and experiences with this renowned photographer.

The workshop will take place on January 22nd and 23rd at the Old Hospital of Santa María la Rica in Alcalá de Henares, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM (Saturday) and from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Sunday).

A masterclass will be held alongside the workshop at the Old Hospital of Santa María la Rica on Saturday, January 22nd at 8:00 PM, where the photographer will present and discuss his career in a free and open event for the public.

Anders Petersen (Solna, Sweden, 1944). From the age of 14, he was exposed to Swedish artists. The renowned photographer Christer Strömholm trained him during the 1960s at his School of Photography in Stockholm. Co-founder of the renowned Swedish photography collective SAFTRA, he published photographs in magazines while simultaneously pursuing personal projects, such as the acclaimed book Café Lehmitz and Gröna Lund. He has taught at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden). In 2003, he was named Photographer of the Year at the Rencontres d'Arles, has published over 20 books on his work, and exhibits in numerous galleries across Europe and Asia.
