XXYYXX is Marcel Everett, without confusing him with The xx, a young music producer born in 1995. Currently he works from his room and is increasingly gaining prominence within the world of indie music. The track "About you" recreates a melodramatic atmosphere for which Jeff Vash, visual artist, has created a simple-looking video without too many elements, but fitting perfectly the music, that can remind us to James Blake, one his references as he explained in an interview for PlayGround:
"Yes, I certainly think that UK electronic music has an impact on my sound. It's all really great to me, the funk and soul elements along with the dub and bass just clashing. It works there, it REALLY works. James Blake's “CYMK EP” was definitely ground-breaking for me."
