The duo of fashion photographers formed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin were in charge of filming this particular praise to Pop Art for the single Applause by the multifaceted arist Lady Gaga.
The result of this collaboration is a video inspired by silent films and early horror films, but with a mixture of many other things. Some of the most immediate references could be Black Swan and Boticelli's Birth of Venus, but it can also bring memories of the joker, Alice in Wonderland and maybe even Ingmar Bergman.
