Justin Bettman, photographer and Gozde Eker, stylist, show us an interesting project using abandoned objects as creative medium in elaborate scenographies, created entirely from unwanted materials they found on the sidewalks. Bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms are built with wallpaper, tables, posters and assorted props, each which seek to tell the story of urban citizens from a family, a couple or single inhabitants that are meant to reside in the spaces.
After shooting the photos, the sets are left up on the street, where passersby can shoot their own photos and share using the Instagram hashtag #setinthestreet.

Justin Bettman is based in NYC. He primarily photographs people. He likes wearing patterned pants. He likes potatoes in any shape or form. He can ride a unicycle. When He is not out shooting, he is an advertising art director.
Gozde Eker is a freelance prop stylist from Istanbul, Turkey, and currently based in Brooklyn, New York. Since 2005 she has been working as a freelance prop stylist for magazine shoots and TV commercials.
She is obsessed with little cute things, patterned fabrics, and playful designs.
She loves being surrounded by lovely simple things. They make her happy!
It excites she to no end to discover how many creative people are out there living their dreams. She is nurtured by her imagination and she hopes the works you'll see on her website will have the same effect on other enthusiastic prop stylists out there.
