At ‘Hitchcock, más allá del suspense’ the most relevants aspect of his life and production are approached: from his iconic cinematography and until his ability to work with great collaborators, the visual game of his 'trompe-l'oeil' or how he broke with the censorship codes, as well as being the best at promoting his films and himself.
The exhibition has been divided in 5 key blocks, which conform his entire life and most famous films: Introduction, the Hitchcock touch, Women and men, Hitchcock and his time, Art and Architecture y the plot reverse: Hitchcock, appearance and tricks. the exhibition 'Hitchcock, beyond Thriller' will also incluse a series of activities and free educative workshops regardless of age.

The work of Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980) goes beyond the stereotype and three decades after his death, his film remains difficult to classify. Much has been written about what is considered one of the great artists of the twentieth century and all interpretations agree on the visual fascination that release films like Rear Window, Vertigo or Psycho, which is a compendium of images of great power over time they have become true modern icons.
'Hitchcock suspense beyond' is not a linear exposure of the films of celebrated director. On the contrary, it is seen as a global look at the essential keys of his films to know and understand his whole figure in full. Personal and commercial aspects, the fundamental basis of his creative process and his film language will be portrayed: the resource domain of art and avant-garde cinema; his ability to surround himself with great collaborators, technicians and actors from designers and writers, on which exercised tight control; the fundamental role played in his works the female characters and the complex relationships between genders. And of course, the ability of his films to reflect the time in which they were created and to evoke the atmosphere of the time.
The exhibition presents through extended frames and sequences of his films, storyboards, sketches of sets, costumes and hair, posters, photographs, magazines and clothing, a distributed in five exhibition areas which illustrate the most significant keys of the filmography of director career: Introduction, where a review of his biography and filmography, his relationship with cinema from early or what influences for creating his icons as a filmmaker. Special emphasis is placed on employees with whom he worked very intensively; The Hitchcock touch, which covers technical aspects of the director as overlays images, slowdowns, the less sophisticated language, music accompanying the dramatic sequences ...; Women and men, where the difficult relationship between gendres and desire as one of the main engines of his films is manifested; Hitchcock and his time, art and architecture portrays the consciousness that characterized the author and his oppinion about his time and artistic and cultural context and that did not go unnoticed in his films and, finally, The Wild Side: Hitchcock, the appearances and tricks, which puts before the eyes of visitors trompe al'oeil systems in his films as well as other ways to fool the viewer through the screen.
