The Korean artist Do Ho Suh is famous for creating real-size replicas of different intimate spaces with which he has a special connection. As he says in an interview for the Tate Modern:
"You experience life moving through a series of spaces."
With a particular interest in transitional spaces such as bridges, stairs and doors, elements that are both connection and separation, Suh's sculptures transform the place and the way visitors appreciate it. The fabric is transparent enough to allow to see the envelope space through the sculpture, so that spaces are seen by the visitor in a very different way, giving it a different quality.
This video shows some of the works of Suh displayed at the 21st Century Contemporary Art Museum in Kanazawa, Japan, under the name of "Perfect Home". Due to the fabric used for his installations, the work of Do Ho Suh may be difficult to capture without being physically next to it, even so, in this case, the video directed, shot, and edited by Nils Clauss, comes close to the real experience.
