"Phenomenal Woman" is the last song composed by Laura Mvula for the album The Dreaming Room. It was presented to the public on April 18, 2016. Her video, full of color and messages about the empowerment of women is our Musical Video of this week.

The song, with African dyes and some reminiscences of Yes' progressive rock, is inspired by the poem "Phenomenal Woman" by Maya Angelou. "I wrote this anthem to raise up women," says the singer. "We are the givers of life, we are the children bearers, the nurturers, the heroines, we are extraordinary in our ordinariness, we fly, we fight, we are 'Phenomenal Women' ".

The video features a cameo from the Mozambican kwaito dance group Tofo Tofo, who already appeared in "Run The World (Girls)" by Beyoncé.
