Founded in 2007 by the Musée du Quai Branly, dedicated to non-Western photography, the biennial world images Photoquai develops in its third edition in the Seine, parallel to the Musée du Quai Branly, and for the first time extends to the museum grounds.

Well received since its first edition for its quality, originality, ambition and relevance, in 2011 PHOTOQUAI maintains its original proposal: to find artists whose work is unprecedented in Europe, fostering the exchange and viewpoints of the world.

The art direction of the third biennial PHOTOQUAI has been given to the photographer and filmmaker Françoise Huguier. She coordinates a program committee that brings together specialists from the image, which is responsible for discovering associated correspondents on the ground to the emerging photographic talent, unknown or little known in Europe.

In its third edition, presents nearly 400 works PHOTOQUAI of 46 contemporary photographers from 29 countries: South Africa, Congo, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Togo, Morocco, Tunisia, Bahrain, Iraq, Belarus, Russia, China, Korea, India, Japan , Taiwan, Cuba, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Colombia, Brazil.
