The digital technologies which are rapidly transforming the global building scene and context will be very present in the new edition of Beyond Building Barcelona-Construmat. Aspects such as innovation, design, sustainability and building renovation will be the main areas featured in Fira de Barcelona's International Building Show. There will be awareness-raising activities aimed at professionals and the general public, to show how 3D printing, new materials, computer software and online communications will transform the industry in the near future.

Beyond Building Barcelona CONSTRUMAT 2015.
The building sector has always been very close to new techniques and advances in design, production, transportation, and communications. Now that digital manufacturing is becoming more and more common in industrial processes, Beyond Building Barcelona-Construmat has decided to present all kinds of projects, produces, and processes related to new technologies and the building sector, as one of the most attractive aspects of this new edition.

The Innovation area will present the latest in materials and building processes, from house building using 3D printers to construction using robots, as well as a panel of prestigious speakers. Skylar Tibbits, professor and Research Scientist in MIT's Department of Architecture, or British architect Alastair Parvin, co-founder of Wikihouse, among others, will present their projects to the public.
Issues such as digital design, BIM, the Internet of Things and entrepreneurship will also be featured, with meeting spaces for companies and investors.
