The urban space is transformed and resymbolization constantly. Through these changes, the imaginary form, rub and deform; places arise, break out, shrink and die. They like it or not, those who design, feature, occupy or use public space are stakeholders in this process. Strip-Tease QDS is an opportunity for these players in the Montreal public space to meet, to question their relationship to the imagination and reflect on their own practice.
How the imagination of a place is manufactured there? Who are the architects of the collective imagination of the city? Is there a specific Montreal in the way we resymbolisons public space? How the confrontation of imaginary space in Montreal, she contributes to the formation / transformation of our collective identity?
These are some of the questions asked to the actors of development, creators of imaginary urban novelists, architects and directors of public space guests. Four themes are the order of the day: space, place, imagination and identity.
The event will be held September 30, 2011 in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, which will serve as a starting point for reflection.
