Triplica Equipo Sociocultural Association (ASTE) MASQUELIBROS is the organizer of MASQUELIBROS, the 1st International Artist Book Fair in Madrid. Innovative and educational in character, MASQUELIBROS seeks to spread the idea of books as art objects and to create a space to unite all of those who work and investigate in the field of artist books. The artist book, as a concept and a format, transmits ideas verbally and visually by utilizing a wide variety of materials, techniques and meanings. With its special emphasis on presentation it encompasses a universe of creative possibilities. This is a kind of artwork where creativity has a fundamental role and where “the book is a means and not an end.”
