Do you think it is possible create a poo-based fabric? That is possible and Eindhoven (The Netherlands) designer Jalila Essaïdi has trasformed manure into haute couture pieces, creating a poo-based fabric that has been used to develop her designs on new clothes.

Jalila Essaïdi, a 35-year-old Eindhoven designer and entrepreneur, has in her search for solutions to major social issues found an answer to the manure problem. She has developed a revolutionary technology with which manure can be immediately transformed into bioplastic, biotextile and biopaper.
Essaïdi has manufactured from recycled cow dung, a bio-textile material, including bio-plastics and bio-paper.
Her project, titled Mestic, with her BioArtLab is a way of addressing the global manure surplus, which is responsible for excessive amounts of harmful phosphorus and nitrogen in surface and groundwater.
