Always Forever by Romy at Primavera Sound this weekend

Romy has released the new single “Always Forever”, prepared with the help of Fred again and Stuart Price, as well as her The XX partner Jamie xx. The single is released coinciding with the new stage of her tour, which opens precisely with her participation in Primavera Sound this weekend.

An album that addresses themes of love, grief, relationships, identity and sexuality, it is a love letter to the queer clubs where the singer found community and connection.

Her new single, "Always Forever," premiered at the Ceremonia Festival in Mexico City. Built on an interpolation of Donna Lewis' iconic 1996 hit "I Love You Always Forever" and re-recorded with Mid Air co-producer Fred, it's an upbeat piece of pop that could be the summer song.

The video for “Always Forever” is the result of her association with the well-known director and filmmaker Charlotte Wells.
