The Pan-American Architecture Biennial BAQ Week will take place during 5 days in morning and evening sessions, in four spaces simultaneously and from three different axes: Academic Seminar, Biennial Contest and Cultural Activities, with an expectation to receive around 2,500 national and international visitors.
The participating projects of the Biennial and Gold Medal Contest will be on display from November 20 to 29 at the Mezzanine of the National Theater and Salas Kingman / Guayasamín, Miguel de Santiago and Victor Mideros of the Casa de la CulturaEcuatoriana "BenjamínCarrión".
The Academic Seminar will present high-level conferences with professionals from all over the world, among whom Alberto Kalach from Mexico, Masahiro Harada from the Mount Fuji office in Japan,TakaharuTezuka from Japan and Mónica Rivera from the López Rivera Studio Architects of Spain, are already confirmed, whom are coming to exhibit the best architectural and urban practices.

About the BAQ
The Pan-American Architecture Biennial of Quito, BAQ, is an academic event of continental prestige, held since 1978, its objectiveisto generate a large academic network of linkage. In 2018, it celebrates its 40th anniversary.During these 4 decades it has been a live meeting between professionals and students related to architecture, urbanism and other disciplines that are directly linked to the development of the city, creating a space where periodically exchange, integration, comparison, visibility and analysis are generated of current urban and architectural products and trends, as well as the transfer of criteria and knowledge of avant-garde architectural and urban concepts and projects. It is endorsed by the International Union of Architects, UIA, the Pan American Federation of Associations of Architects, FPAA-and the Regional Architecture of the Andean Group, RAGA.
