Onionlab presents Evolució, a piece that revolves around the graphic and sound abstraction of the concept it is named after: evolution. It is construed as transformation, construction and alteration of reality through time; evolution as a discontinuous creation process as well.

Created with 3D projection mapping techniques by Onionlab, this time, Evolució was projected onto the façade of the Musées d'art et d'histoire de Genève, though the piece takes the evolution concept even further: It was conceived as an open transformation process so that it can also be adapted to different façades and projection surfaces, and so that Evolució can continue its transformation process.

Organized by Mapping Festival and Les Musées d’art et d’histoire de la Ville de Genève

Onionlab is a multidisciplinary studio located in Barcelona. They create interactive products and experiences, motion design movies and audiovisual shows for companies that want to be related with technology, design and art. Their works are based on the aesthetic attention to detail and the technical innovation. Starting from graphic concepts and detailed ideas, they get lost in the development and find theirselves again at the resolution. They usually make use of the power of scripting and the seduction of music and sound design. They are interested in learning in each project, that’s why we invest many hours researching.

They like collaborations. Onionlab has carried out projects for Audi, Eristoff, San Miguel, Seat, Ikea, Mango, Sony, Sonar, Ericsson, ABC (American Broadcasting Company) and J&B.
