Between October 6th and 8th 2016, MAPP_MTL lays the foundations for an international scale event, at the convergence points of Mile End and Mile-Ex neighbourhoods. This first edition will offer a journey of both interior and exterior installations, exploring as an open laboratory, a vision of the future of mapping. Mapping is a fascinating medium that uses video projection to reinvent the places, spaces and objects that surround us. Playing with our perceptions of reality and touching people by means of its power to transform, such is the seemingly unlimited potential of mapping.

Ideas incubator and engine for action, MAPP_MTL gathers a community of artists, artisans and thinkers, in order to explore the limits of the mapping, regarding its language, as well as its technical possibilities and, in the long term, its applications in our society.

An incubator of ideas and a generator of action, MAPP_MTL regroups a community of artists, artisans and thinkers dedicated to exploring the limits of mapping, as much for its power as a language and, over the long term, for its applications in our society.

MAPP_MTL ARTISTS

MAPP_MTL chose to invite local and international artists, in order to build an open creative community, sparking encounters and reflections around usages and applications related to mapping. We are proud to announce in exclusivity the names of our first artists for this MAPP_MTL pilot edition: VJ SUAVE (BR) | JEAN-SÉBASTIEN BAILLAT (CA) | PHILIPPE DUBOST (FR) | DELPHINE DUSSOUBS (FR) | CHRISTIE 360 (CA) | REMI VINCENT (FR).
