The next 19th of September will take place the inauguration of the exhibition "She was my la jet" from the US photographer Slater Bradley, a personal remake about the film La Jétee by Chris Marker.

Through this work, with super 8 and HD, Slater Bradley reflections about the archetypical and dreamy woman which is presented in La Jetée, an unachievable and idealized woman.

The title makes reference to two other important moments in the cinema history; in the Wes Anderson's film, Rushmore (1998), when the character Jason Schwartzman says "She was my Rushmore" and in the well-known film from Alfred Hitchcock, Vertigo (1958), when the main character thinks "She was my vertigo".

The photographs presents the woman in an atmosphere which the own photographer has created for highlighting the figure of the woman and make more idyllic her presence. For doing that, he works manually with paper, he uses textures, markers, reliefs…

Venue.- Galería Helga de Alvear, Doctor Fourquet Street 12, Madrid, Spain.
Date.- 19/09 - 02/11/2013.
