The winners, in Videotalentos, were "Dreams are the matter we are made of", (Spain), and "Ofelia"/ Ophelia, (Mexico), selected as the big winners of the first Videotalentos contest: art as a pretext. Both pieces inspired by works by British, William Shakespeare and different audiovisual techniques were imposed over 600 videos from all over Latin America.
Not only a great turnout, the level of competition, for young university in Spain and Latin America, has had a high level and therefore, the jury awarded a second prize more than expected, resulting also awarded "Las bailarinas de Degas / The dancers of Degas" (Spain) and La traición de las imágenes / The treachery of Images (Argentina).
The Videotalentos jury consisted of audiovisual experts and contest organizers, including Ignacio Gutiérrez Solana (Director of the School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid), Amparo Lopez Corral (VIVA Madrid 2012, Coordinator ) Alberto and John (Director of the Max Estrella Gallery).

The winning video, Ofelia / Ophelia, uses stop motion technique to bring life oil painting titled "Ophelia" by Sir John Everett Millais, who in turn was inspired by "Hamlet" by Shakespeare.
