Over this weekend, 21st and 22nd of June 2014, photographers Laura Torrado and Luis de las Alas will be at Plaza de la Constitución in Getafe, in PHotoEspaña context, photographing everyone who approaches the set prepared for the event. Everyone who joing the event will have a printed photo. Join ii and Retrátate!

PHotoEspaña and the city of Getafe organized this weekend, ¡Retrátate!, and artistic and civic participation project with a double goal, spread photography among the public of all ages and turn the amateurs and curius people into protagonists in an exhibition during the summer months.

Photographers Laura Torrado and Luis de las Alas will portray those people who approach to the photographic set enabled for the activity in Getafe Town Hall Square (Plaza de la Constitución), turning them into models for a day. The activity will be held on Saturday 21 June from 12.00 to 14.00 and from 18.00 to 23.00 hours and Sunday 22 June from 12.00 to 14.00 and from 18.00 to 22.00.

Each portrayed will receive a printed copy of their photo (10x15 format) as souvenir of ¡Retrátate!.

For finishing the activity, a selection of the portraits will be part of an exhibition on the façade of the Antigua Fábrica de Harinas de Getafe (Teatro-Auditorio Federico García Lorca. Calle Ramón y Cajal, 22) during the months of July, August and September. A collective portrait born of the sum of individuals; the hundreds of anonymous citizens who have posed, becoming art and part of the exhibition; and the languages ??and very personal styles of these two photographers.
