Catch Yourself Falling is the seventh song from the album “Concrete and glass” by French musician Nicolas Godin in collaboration with Alexis Taylor, who provides the voice for this single.

Nicolas Godin, a former member of the French electronic music band Air, studied architecture before beginning his career as a professional musician. We can see in his second solo album his intention to unite both disciplines.- architecture and music.
The video for the song Catch Yourself Falling, by the French musician Nicolas Godin in collaboration with Alexis Taylor uses the architecture and landscaping of the Palace of Versailles. The magnificent work ordered to be built by Louis XIV and today declared a World Heritage Site, is the ideal scenery to set the story of a little king who seems to feel trapped and alone, accompanied by his caretaker.

The director gives us a walk through the beautiful gardens of the Palace of Versailles in winter. We follow a little king who walks alone who does not seem to be surprised by the great works that he observes and, which sometimes shows the difference of the human scale compared to the monumental scale of the absolutist complex of Versailles.

As the music progresses, we make a tour through the surroundings of the Palace of Versailles. The Temple of Love, the Marlborough tower, the great green walks, the monumental staircase, the Latona pond or the flower beds are some of the corners of Versailles that we can see in the video.

Lyrics.-
Why do you, why do you call me?
Why do you, why do you fall to me?
Why do you, why do you haunt me
When you know that I can’t go with you?

I don’t know, I don’t know where I belong
I don’t know, I don’t know if this is right or wrong
I don’t know, I don’t know where I do belong

You can fall from any height (catch yourself falling)
You can fall from anywhere
No one hears your call (catch yourself falling)
When there’s no one there

I don’t know... (x4)

How do you, how do you find me?
How do you help to untie me?
Tell me now, tell you see me
I’ve always been on a road I can’t escape

I don’t know, I don’t know where I belong
I don’t know, I don’t know if this is right or wrong
I don’t know, I don’t know where I do belong

You can fall from any height (catch yourself falling)
You can fall from anywhere
No one hears your call (catch yourself falling)
When there’s no one there

Open your eyes, beneath lies no surprise
Open your eyes, you’re wearing no disguise

Catch yourself falling (x4)

You can fall from any height
You can wake from any dream
No one hears your call
When you’re lost at sea
