Architecture and Urbanism Award at the 11th BIAU for César Ortiz-Echagüe Rubio and Jorge Enrique Scrimaglio

Each BIAU focuses on the recognition of the meritorious work of a professional in architecture and / or urban planning who, individually or collectively, has stood out for the promotion and defense of values related to architecture and urban planning in Latin America.

In this occasion the Ibero-American Prize for Architecture and Urbanism, received in each of the categories, 38 proposals, among which the jury awarded ex aequo Ibero-American Prize to the architects:

César Ortiz-Echagüe Rubio (Madrid, 1927).
and
Jorge Enrique Scrimaglio (Rosario, 1937).

The XXI BIAU (Ibero American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism) in Asunción, Paraguay will begin next October 6. Over a week, different enclaves of the city will host exhibitions, conferences and debates, as well as a sample of cinema and popular activities.

The Biennial will take place between October 6 and 11 in different areas of the city of Asunción, Paraguay.

The biennial includes the best architecture of the 22 countries that make up Latin America in the categories Panorama of Works, Publications, Research Texts, Academic Works and Inhabiting Ibero-America.

The jury meeting last May was chaired by Javier Martín Ramiro. General Director of Architecture, Housing and Land; and formed by Laureano Matas Trenas. General Secretary of the Superior Council of the Colleges of Architects of Spain; Francisco Mangado Beloqui. General Coordinator of the Biennials; Arturo Franco and Ana Román.
