The Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando hosts the exhibition, Estación XV, which includes projects in which artists and researchers worked throughout their stay at the Academy of Spain in Rome during 2012-2013, scholarships from the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación. Curated by Cesar Espada, will be open until May 25 in Madrid, moving to Rome where subsequently will be inaugurated on June 17.

La Real Academia de España en Roma / The Royal Academy of Spain in Rome, founded in 1879, is located in San Pietro in Montorio, on the Gianicolo Hill, one of most beautiful places in the Eternal City. According to tradition, it was here that St. Peter was crucified upside down, by choice. Go to San Pietro in Montorio also it is possible following a Via Crucis, where the Academy is considered the end of the tour, the XV Station. Hence, the thread to start the exhibition of Fellows 2012-2013, the Academy as a metaphor for the crisis affecting the world of culture, an imaginary station where artists and researchers are delivered to the work of their search and creative research.
Estación XV supposed to overcome these vicissitudes and "Seasons" by seventeen artists and researchers Spanish and an Italian engraver who exhibited their works at the Calcografía exhibition hall of San Fernando, Goya rooms of prints and the Academy façade. The exhibition is a real artistic research lab where you can discover the subjective, personal and surprising reinterpretations about Rome.
The participating artists are:
Participating in the exhibition the artists Tamara Arroyo, Marisa Brugarolas, Miguel Cuba Taboada, Julio Falagán, José Noguero, Oriol Saladrigues Brunet, Miguel Ángel Tornero, María Trénor, Giuseppe Vigolo and Begoña Zubero. Also you can know the works by researchers Cecilia Ardanaz Ruiz, Agustín Cocola Gant, Carlos Contreras Elvira, José Luis Corazón Ardura, Juan Agustín Mancebo, Enrique Martínez Lombó y Ana María Mogollón Naranjo.

Datess.- Until May 25th, 2014. Schedule.- Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 14 h and from 17 to 20 h. Sundays and holidays from 10 to 14 h. Closed Monday and 1 May. Admission.- Free.
Curator.- César Espada holds a PhD in philosophy and diplomat. He serves as Head of Departamento de Cooperación Universitaria y Científica de la Dirección de Relaciones Culturales y Científicas de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, which leads the Call for Scholarships MAEC-AECID for the Academy of Spain in Rome.
Together, it showing the joint project of the fellows entitled "Guía Psicogeográfica de Roma: dieciséis mapas para perderse / Psychogeographical Rome guide: sixteen maps to miss", promoted by the Directorate of Cultural and Scientific Relations , which includes projects of different artists and researchers suggested itineraries adapted by them to through the city of Rome.
The reader can get lost with an artist who reconstructs the trip by her parents in the Rome of the 60s, standing in certain places with closed eyes to dive under the direction of a musician in a city made of sounds or venture into neighborhoods contemporary art on a route fictitious stores ... and so sixteen tours also can be made accompanied by a mobile application that plays media files corresponding to each of the routes.
The Guide, which is distributed through Cataclysm, is a Spanish-English bilingual edition, as it is intended for an international audience can make an artistic and cultural tour of Rome and at the same time to present the work of artists and researchers have written.
