Maria Espeus will show the photographic collection El otro Rava in Fundació Setba. The photographies, large format, will be exposed built over a frame, and they will try to reflect about the change that has experienced in the last years the Barcelonian neighborhood of El Raval.

Maria Espeus was the official photographer of the Olympic Games of 1992 and she has portrayed to personalities of the world of the culture and the politics. She has been employed at the world of the advertising, publishing, institutional and she has collaborated too in cinema as director of photography with Manuel Huerga and Carles Bosch.
His works are photographies of study. She does not consider herself as a photo-journalist, but she prepares, in the same way, the scene, the object or the portrayed person. Nothing is chance, everything is foreseen and measured. In spite of this accuracy and meticulousness, his photographies are warm and full of sensibility and emotion.
El otro Raval thinks about the change experienced on this Barcelonian neighborhood in the last years, with the immigrants' arrival of different nationalities and cultures. The sample is composed by arround thity photographies of great format, mounted on frame.
