MADRIDFOTO undertakes it third iteration May 5th through 8th at Feria de Madrid Pavillion Number 1, an open space with more than 5,000 sqm for exhibitors. As many as seventy international galleries, publishing houses and journals will participate in MADRIDFOTO3, the only international contemporary photography fair held in Spain.

For the third consecutive year MADRIDFOTO3 will bring to Madrid the most outstanding international contemporary photography and some vintage photo gems that cannot be seen in the city at any other time. The fair seeks to feature a balanced array of quality works that reveal new forms and techniques as a mirror of what is currently unfolding in the world of contemporary photographic creation.
In 2011, the fair will award artists and galleries under two categories: sustainability (Acciona – MADRIDFOTO Award) and young photographers (Community of Madrid – MADRIDFOTO Award). In parallel, proceeding on the path paved in 2010, discussions and gatherings will be organized so that curators, programmers, museum directors and other professionals may actively participate in the fair. Moreover, MADRIDFOTO3 will host a special programme for collectors, which will include activities, guided tours and social events, as well as a VIP space for meeting and exchanging ideas within the framework of the fair.
