PARA-Site. Time Based Formations. Through Material Inteligence.

If the proposal of Para-Site, is a substantial jump in this type of architectural proposals, was logical to come accompanied by a publication. The publication reinforces the important leap that Elisava has made, to make a purposeful action of great depth and with a strong researcher process, congratulations!!

Coinciding with the presentation of PARA-Site at Elisava, the BIO Design Laboratory team will present the catalogue book Formaciones espaciales en el tiempo producidas por materiales inteligentes (Time-Based Spatial Formations Through Material Intelligence). It explains the theoretical maturation process for developing architectural projects based on the use of new materials and technologies, as is the case of PARA-Site.

This is the first of a new series of publications at ELISAVA characterised by the creation of a value- added collection. “It is more than just a compilation of the projects resulting from the Master’s course; we have shaped the theoretical basis of this new architecture,” Truco explains. The catalogue book, which is being published in both English and Spanish, includes articles by the architects Jordi Truco and Mireia Ferraté i Marcel, as well as by Javier Peña, head of studies of the ELISAVA Degree in Industrial Design and Engineering. It will be available in specialised bookshops.
