Yesterday night took place the award ceremony of Architecture and Design Interior 2014 FAD Prizes at FAD headquarters, Disseny Hub Barcelona. Congratulations to all the winners and to all the special mentions!

In this call 2014, there have been 381 presented works among which 60 were selected by the jury. The selected proposals stand out for avoiding the objectual architecture and understand the area context in order to understand their conditions properly.  For the jury has also been very valuable that the proposals will lead a reflection on themselves and how they bring close to society through architecture.

Judge's valuation:

"If it is true that the program of this project deserves an applause, taking in consideration its capacity of transformation the available resources, it is even more notable the result of this public work, capable of summarises the virtues of restoration and technique, as a result of a deep research and a lot of sensivity".

Interior Design FAD Award 2014: Enremuros House, Olot (Girona) by RCR Arquitectes, Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilalta.

Judge's valuation:

"In this project it is recognizable a sense of laboratory, from who is seeking, in an almost cientific way, the construction of poetry. It surprises the way that the investigations, both programmatic and constructives, merged in a perfect synthesis from where results, above all else, a poetic atmosphere."
