Fotociencia intends to bring science to the public through photographs that address scientific issues from an artistic and aesthetic vision, accompanied by a written explanation.
According to the published bases for this purpose by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) and the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), and according to the following criteria: originality, artistic quality and scientific content of the image and text, decided by majority, the winning photographs below:
First Prize in the General category endowed with 2.200€: “Flamenco Vs. Ibis”. Author.- Tomeu Canyellas Moragues.
First Prize in the Micro category endowed with 2.200€: “Tirabuzón”. Author.- María Carbajo Sánchez.
Mention in the General category endowed with 1.000€: “Oceanografía autónoma”. Author.-Enrique Vidal Vijande.
