After having reviewed and revised all proposals by the jury, states that the WINNER proposals are:
FIRST PRIZE.- PT39 (1642) Universidad europea de Madrid CO³ COOPERATIVAS PARA LA REGENERACIÓN URBANA SOSTENIBLE
The jury decides unanimously that the proposal very deeply analyzes all the criteria listed in the contest and can give real and accurate proposals both at the planning and at the level of the building.
SECOND PRIZE.- PT19 (1611) Universidad Simón Bolívar de Caracas WATERNET
The project works deeply water issues, treating all the scales and full extent of implementation, reuse and management. Is very interesting the integration of agriculture and the proposals from the scale of the territory to the scale of the building.
THIRD PRIZE.- PT20 (1612) Universidad de Sevilla PLUGGED MOBILITY
Proposes new management systems on car usage and an architectural implementation that is at the same time building and city, space and place to meet and exchange citizen.
HONOURABLE MENTION
The following are, in numerical order, the overall comments from the jury of the five honourable mentions:
CROSS-CUTTING SCALES: PT02 (1180) Universidad de Alcalá. (re)MEDIATE (re)USE. Rigorous analysis of the site and its impact on interscalar level. Is considered a theoretical project of high quality, with certain weaknesses in the implementation and viability of the proposal. Is granted an honourable mention for his vision on the cross‐cutting scales criteria.
INTERACTIVITY: PT06 (1197) Universidad de Zaragoza. NOT ONLY FOOTBALL. Is valued the site selection and the reuse of equipment for other uses, it is considered that the project approach is transferable to other facilities with other uses. It misses more work in the immediately public space and the impact at city level. Is granted an honourable mention to the interactivity and the fieldwork among the neighbors of the existing neighborhood.
MULTIDISCILPLINARY: PT10 (1492) University of Singapore. NEW REGENERATIVE MODEL. Very interesting the analysis, developed by a multidisciplinary team, that considers the resilience and resolve water issues, risks and potential in detail. Methodology for integrating different scales map of flood risk is valued, as well. It is considered very innovative architectural expression. Is granted an honourable mention to the Multicisciplinary.
HORIZONTALITY: PT17 (1604) Pharos University. KOM EL-DEKKA. Proposal highly appreciated by the jury because of the substantial fieldwork, practical and realistic gives great importance to the local community vision, the enhancement of existing buildings and their integration in time. Its intervention on a small scale in the neighborhood is considered very well treated. Is granted an honourable mention to the horizontality.
INNOVATION: PT46 (1649) Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya. RESSO. Proposal highly valued by the intensive development of neighborhood integration strategies. Is considered a portable and well resolved from the point of view of bioclimatic passive architectural systems. Is granted an honourable mention for Innovation.
