From March 30th, 2017, in the Faculty of Medicine lobby are the models of the University City. The are presented in an act that commences the commemorative events that are planned to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the University City of Madrid.

The two models will be permanently displayed in the lobby of the Facultad de Medicina. The models have been exposed again to the public after being reinstalled to commemorate the 90 años de la Ciudad Universitaria de Madrid.
The first of the models, which has dimensions of 490 x 510 cm and belongs to the Museum of the Army, is guarded by the Complutense University and reflects the state in which the campus was left after the Civil War, it marks the lands furrowed by The trenches of both sides. This model shows the remains of the first design for the campus, along with the ruins that show the degree of destruction that remained. For a long time it remained exposed in the Army Museum and has been restored by the Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (Polytechnic University). The last time it was exposed to the public was in 2008, on the occasion of the exhibition The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of Madrid in the Second Republic. Architecture and University in the thirties, which took place in the Cuartel del Conde Duque in Madrid.
The second model shows the reconstruction project of the University City of 1943. It was presented in the Government Pavilion of the University on October 12, 1943 on the occasion of the inauguration of the buildings rebuilt after the Civil War and the visit to Campus of the dictator. The model shows the continuity lines with respect to the original project for the University City, the buildings already rebuilt after the war and the projects that the regime wanted to develop (such as the Paraninfo) and never built. This model, after staying in the Pavilion of Government of the Complutense University, was in the so-called Arc de Triunfo de Moncloa and other locations. It has been restored by a team of specialists from the Faculty of Fine Arts.
