Ecuador Association of Architects organizes since 1978 the Pan American Quito Architecture Biennale, a space for periodical exchange, comparison and analysis of products and current architecture and urban trends.

The BAQ 2014 wants to expand the vision of architecture, expanding its focus to move from the fragmentary and to global, from the dogmatic to the complex, from the anthropocentric view to a more complete ecological view, integrating our discourse with from other disciplines.

It is presented as an exercise in focus and blur, which seeks the critical questions necessary to alter our perspective towards a more comprehensive and simultaneous with an expanded global awareness that feed back our assessment of the individual and the near, the global and collective.

The Biennial takes place in three actions: Confrontation Event, Academic Event and Cultural Event. In this edition the Academic Event of the BAQ2014  will be held in the Agora of the House of Ecuadorian Culture, event called:. " From the house to the city, from the city to the house"
