Rooted in the earth and stretching toward the sky, Atelier Brückner's proposal is composed of a series of date palms that stand as living symbols of the UAE's people. Located in the heart of the UAE Pavilion, the structures are presented as icons of resilience and ambition.
Through gastronomy, craftsmanship, and creativity, "From Earth to Ether" invites visitors to immerse themselves in a space dedicated to exploring a future where all life thrives on our planet and beyond.

Project description by Atelier Brückner
The UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka offers a multi-sensory journey that bridges tradition and innovation. Designed by Atelier Brückner under the theme Earth to Ether, the exhibition reveals the country's transformation – from its deep roots in nature and heritage to its pioneering achievements in space, healthcare and sustainability.
At the heart of the pavilion and its exhibition design stands an icon of resilience and ambition: the date palm, reinterpreted as structure, material and metaphor. Visitors explore immersive zones shaped by digital media, interactive storytelling and organic materials – from cinematic narratives and AI-driven city design to hands-on astronaut training.
This dynamic, trilingual experience celebrates the UAE as a nation of "Dreamers Who Do", where cultural continuity and forward-thinking go hand in hand. The pavilion becomes a platform for dialogue – between earth and sky, past and future.
