The first edition in French was published in 2004, but it was in 2007 when GG incorporated it in Spanish into its series "GGmínima", and now it is published again after its importance for the contemporary landscape.
The publishing house from Barcelona, Gustavo Gili, presents this reedition in a small format. It is written by the french landscape painter Gilles Clément, professor at the École Nationale Supérieure de Paysage de Versailles, author of the André Citröen park or the gardens of the Musée du Quai Branly; and who had previously published in the same house El jardín en Movimiento.

Description of project by Editorial GG

Originally published in French in 2004, Manifiesto del Tercer paisaje (Manifesto of the Third Landscape) has become one of the key texts to understand contemporary landscape architecture. Gilles Clément puts into it a program for the Third Landscape, the one that appears on the roadsides, in the residual places of the cities, in the spaces of transition between the city and the countryside that have not been controlled by deliberate action of man. It is in those places where a truly free biological system emerges.

After the success of the first edition in Spanish, this second enlarged edition incorporates a series of examples of the evolution and implementation of the Third Landscape.
