The competition for Imperali Via dei Fori in Rome, organized by the Accademia Adrianea di Architettura e Archeologia in collaboration with the Ordine degli Architetti, Pianificatori, Paesaggisti e Conservatori in Rome and province, has reached the end of its proceedings. It has in fact met the Selection Committee for the Piranesi Prix de Rome in 2016, which evaluated the eighteen projects that participated in the public consultation.

Three proposals is the result of international competition (with two special mentions to groups formed with Spanish). We are talking about the latest edition of Piranesi Prix de Rome in 2016, a competition for the design of the Via dei Fori Imperiali in Rome in which 18 projects have participated.

The commission, chaired by Angelo Torricelli and Giuliano Volpe, and coordinated by Paola Rossi and Pier Federico Caliari curator, has awarded prizes to the seven most important projects considered by their different approaches and methodologies proposed:

The first prize was awarded to three projects in a draw,
- The team, David Chipperfield with Alexander Schwarz (Berlin)
- Riccardo Petracchi with Univesità di Roma Tre, coordinated by Luigi Franciosini,
- Franco Purini (Sapienza University) with Tommaso Valle.

The Commission has also decided to award three special mentions to groups
- Pierfranco Galliani (Milan Polytechnic) with Tortelli and Frassoni Associates,
- Carmen Andriani (University of Genoa), with Guillermo Vázquez Consuegra (Spain)
- Fabio Fabbrizzi (University of Florence) with Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos (Spain)

- As well as a report for the group Gianluigi Mondaini with ABDR study.
