Futuristic cinema in the museum. Futuros Posibles by Museo Nacional Reina Sofia

As of April 30, the "Possible Futures" film series will be launched, under the theme "The future of museums: Recover and reimagine".

The event presents an anthology of classic and current cinematographic pieces, divided into five thematic programs, which frame different visions about the future.

The project, organized by the Reina Sofía Museum, will broadcast a selection of audiovisual productions recorded between the years 1920 and 2020, which bear the stamp of great classical authors, such as Yákov Protazánov, Anton Vidokle and Fritz Lang.

During these last hundred years, the avant-garde cinematographic world has launched various proposals related to its perspectives for the future. From this audiovisual cycle, it will be possible to enjoy a selection of films that glimpse how many artists and filmmakers saw the future, how other artists see it today, and how reality has developed over the years.

The Reina Sofía Museum will make free tickets available on its website until full capacity is reached.

On the other hand, each program will have different films which can be seen in two different sessions, detailed below:
