dEMM arquitectura has design a residential building with 6 homes in Foz do Douro, a seafront district in Porto, Portugal known for its sandy beaches, such as Praia da Luz and Praia do Homem do Leme, where you can enjoy of traditional Portuguese food restaurants. The intervention plot is located facing east and west, in a consolidating urban area next to the Atlantic Ocean.
The architects with the project intended to develop a residential building following a biophilic approach that is achieved through the extensive use of vegetation on the exterior and in the interior common areas, in order to bring nature closer and the feeling of freedom that it generates both outdoors. of the building as well as inside. Furthermore, in this way, the project contributes to the improvement of the environment, with a solar and rainwater harvesting system and the use of low-consumption equipment.
