The LIXIL International University Architectural Competition, in its 3rd edition, invites university research laboratories from around the world for a site-specific challenge, with this year’s theme of ‘Retreat in Nature”.
Situated on a site in the Memu Meadows of Hokkaido’s Taiki-cho, they seeks sustainable architectural solutions from nominative universities around the world. The winning university will be responsible for the project throughout the construction phase. This site is composed of experimental sustainable projects including Même by architect Kengo Kuma.
