Bang editions presents Rodrigo García’s and Raül Jiménez´s new illustrations book, entitled “SIN MANOS y otras proezas de la infancia”. It is a ludicrous familiar album where wicked children move through, grandmothers who write long speeches and a collection of parents, in the present of them is difficult to retain the guffaw.

SIN MANOS y otras proezas de la infancia (NO HANDS and other childhood feats) (edited by Band editions) is an illustrated book in which briefness and precision prevails since it combains micro stories and simple and smart illustrations that reduce to the minimum the ornament and bets on a solution far from artifices. The stroke economy and the pertinacious search for simplicity give coherence to the work.
Joining this taste for restraint and sobriety in forms, the irony of texts full of sparks and surprises.
NO HANDS is a crazy family album in which wicked kids, chatterbox grandmas and a collection of mothers and fathers make rather difficult to hold the guffaw.
The unbearable innocence of the children (the bad thing about my granny is the pinching, she would be perfect if she got her fingers cut), brings us back to the childish logic and the book becomes a passage to our own childhood.
In short, a bet on a well-worked briefness and the bitter lucidity often hidden behind humour.
