What's up Paris? invites you to prpose ideas for the creation of a free-of-technology Paris. A public space in which conversations, picnics or street musicians are the ones building an spacial experience capable of atracting pedestrians to use a new kind of social space.

Have fun making architecture. Enjoy. Propose alternatives. Another architecture. Other tools. Other way. No strings attached. Without prejudice. With freshness ... We’ll make sure your voice reaches the rest of the world … That is the slogan of reTh!NKING, the leitmotiv behind the proposals they look for. In this occasion and after the winners announcement of their last call, the new contest theme openes since last 22nd October, is centered in thinking about the role of technology and about desining a space centered in human relations and the spacial resources that deffined social spaces before the thelephone and internet boom, among others. A luxurious jury made up of Suraña Arquitectos, Sigifredo Gómez Lemos from Guerin & Pedroza Architectes, Eduardo mayoral from EDDEA and Francisco González de Canales, will be in charge of selecting the most interesting proposals, which will receive a crash prize as well as get diffusion through different media in the Architecture panorama.

If you are one of those who think architecture does not need of any other technological resources to create a public space, it is your oportunity to put your neurons at work and convince the world that it is possible. As described by reTH!NKING, 'The proposed site invites you to rethink what is necessary to create an atmosphere where technology should not have any role where the talks “face to face” are the predominant element, where we can relax listening to a musician playing the guitar, having a coffee or making an improvised picnic'.
