CARL TURNER

Carl Turner trained at the Royal College of Art in London. Carl sees his approach to design and construction as an extension of his time there as a maker.

After working for Norman Foster on the Citibank Tower at Canary Wharf, and Penoyre and Prasad on various community-based projects, Carl formed a partnership (Turner Castle). The practice gained a reputation for high quality residential projects, and won the FX Award for best workplace design for their McCann office renovation. He went on to reform the studio as Carl Turner Architects in 2006.

Carl has taught at the Architectural Association, Royal College of Art, Greenwich, Southbank and currently runs an undergraduate Architecture studio at Brighton University.

Carl is currently a Design Advisor for the Southwark Design Review Panel.
