The last inaugurated work of Tuñón Architects - in collaboration with Marceline Ruckstuhl - is this Gastropavillion in a university campus, wich presents itsef as a white volume almost transparent spatially, which allows to see a uses variety in its interior. The external prismatic shape contransts with the Hönggerberg's surroundings, and its position somewhat remote from other buildins facilitates the visitors' flow, as well as ensuring a generous view.
Description of the project by Tuñón Arquitectos
Conceived as a prism that serves as an architectural filter between the campus and the landscape, the pavillion is a meeting point for teachers, visitors, workers, and students, besides serving as a reception place for international guests. Open to the campus towards the south and to the views of the beautiful landscape to the north, the building is proposed as an elegant shed of serial wood porticoes, as an open and flexible structure.
