Rowan Moore in the Observer calls for conservation project designed by Alison and Peter Smithson, among other things because the proposed alternatives are a true horror. Robin Hood Gardens in east London has been through better days, but I recommend you see the "wonders" by those intended to replace the design of the Smithson, metaphorically speaking "true architectural jewels."
