The Sense 100 Building has been designed by architect Sandra Micaela Casinha as a dynamic volume. The project is located in Rio Tinto, a town located near the city of Porto, in Portugal.

Organic shapes guide users through the building, while a latticework continues to promote the dynamism that characterizes the building thanks to changing light and shadow throughout the day. The building seems to form organically by intertwining the sinuous lines and panels of the façade in a space where the architectural elements are born as a product of this dynamism.
The project developed by Sandra Micaela Casinha has 20 homes with two to three bedrooms, where organic shapes generate routes and rooms, ending in the main room of each home, the living room.

Each home has a terrace generated from the dynamism of the plants, where the light filtered by the lattice causes a changing and sensory experience throughout the day. The lattice is made up of perforated metal panels that provide excitement, protection from the sun and privacy in the main room of the home.

Project description by Sandra Micaela Casinha

The Sense 100 Building dances through long waves, different on each floor. The organic design and the panels projected onto the façade create dynamism, movement and moments.

There are 20 apartments, two fronts, with generous balconies, which are intended to be living areas. It's the "waves" that create the balconies. And they relate to the light-filled living rooms.

In each apartment we are greeted by a curve. It leads us to different areas. It ends in the living room, and here our gaze lands on the organicist balcony with its screen panels. These panels will provide emotion, protection from the sun and privacy.
