Contest for the curatorship of the Spanish Pavilion at the 18th architecture exhibition of the Venice, Biennale 2023

The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma), through the General Directorate of Urban Agenda and Architecture, has put out to tender the Project Contest with the intervention of a jury (which will be chaired by the general director of Urban Agenda and Architecture, Iñaqui Carnicero) for the award of the curatorial, exhibition design and itinerant curator services contract for the Spanish Pavilion at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition, The Venice Biennale 2023; as already collected by the State Contracting Platform.

A single winner will be awarded the first prize of 15,000 euros, as an advance payment of the total fees. Likewise, the second prize of €5,000, the third prize of €3,000 and two-second prizes of €1,000 each (amounts without VAT) will be awarded.

Additionally, the service contract will be awarded to the contest winner. The term for drafting the project is 1 month, estimating a total amount for this service contract of €125,056.99 (VAT included), which, including the rest of the prizes, amounts to €137,156.99 (VAT included).

The process of selecting and delivering the curatorial project, exhibition design and texts for the catalogue is expected to end on December 31, 2022.
