Estudio PK, dedicated to the world of architecture, has designed a single-family home in Nordelta, an urban town in the Tigre District, a Province characterized by the canals formed by the Luján River as it passes through Buenos Aires, Argentina, in which North orientation has been prioritized on a corner lot, which has two edges to the street and another edge to a public green space with views of the Lagoon.

The project is designed from the idea of developing a building capable of appreciating the green landscape that surrounds it and capable of providing users with a unique home where they can live in harmony with nature. Orientation has been the directional axis of the project to create spaces with views appropriate to their functionality.
Orbit House designed by Estudio PK is a two-story home with a double-height hall that joins the two floors, allowing for a constant dialogue with the central patio on the second level where the private sector of the home is located. This second floor separates itself from the first floor with a freer language, obtained through curves that direct the program towards the best views.

The front of the building houses a social gallery open to the street that allows visual transparency from the dining room to the central lagoon of the neighborhood. The home is made up of noble materials that require little maintenance such as the concrete structure, covered with volcanic stone, tundra gray floors, marble countertops, oak furniture and aluminum carpentry.

Project description by Estudio PK

Casa Órbita is located on a corner lot; It has two coastal edges, an end towards a public green space and views of the Lagoon; The home takes over all its visuals, enhancing natural lighting in the most favorable sense.

The north orientation was prioritized, using a central patio that visually and functionally articulates the two wings of the basement: One contains the flexible space next to the access hall and the transition from the street to the interior of the house. The other is directed towards the back front in relation to the public area of the house, expanding towards the pool and the lagoon in the background, framing the landscape. On the southwest side, all the service sectors are located.

The double-height hall joins the two floors, allowing the private sector on the second level to have a constant dialogue with the central patio. It not only provides light entry with the best orientation, but together with the enclosure of perforated Corten steel panels on the front, it provides privacy to the bedrooms and the playroom, which with its folding panels creates an intimate meeting space. For the users.

This second volume detaches itself from the foundation with a freer language, obtained through curves that direct the program towards the best visuals.

The project has a second social gallery in the front, open to the street. It allows visual transparency from the living room, towards the central lagoon of the neighborhood, facing north.

The material constitution of the home is based on noble, low-maintenance materials: a concrete structure, with volcanic stone coverings at the entrance, tundra gray floors, marble countertops, oak furniture and aluminum carpentry with DVH.

Casa Órbita proposes a home with a design capable of appreciating the green landscape that surrounds it and providing users with a unique home to share with the family.
